How to Use Divisions & Seasons
1Create a Season
From your league page, go to Divisions → Create Season. Name the season (e.g. "Spring 2026") and set a start date.
Each league can have one active season at a time.
2Add Divisions
Create tiered divisions within the season — for example, Division 1, Division 2, etc. Each division has its own match format (e.g. first to 6 legs).
Division 1 is the top tier. Players in higher divisions face tougher competition.
3Assign Players
Add players to divisions from the league roster. Use "Auto Sort by Average" to distribute players based on their 3-dart average — stronger players go to the top division automatically.
4Activate the Season
When you're ready, activate the season. This generates the round-robin fixture schedule for each division automatically.
Once activated, matches can be played and scores recorded.
5Track Standings
Division standings update automatically as matches are completed. Standings show:
- Points — Win = 2, Draw = 1, Loss = 0
- Legs won & lost
- 3-dart average
Promotion and relegation positions are highlighted in the standings table.
6Promotion & Relegation
At the end of a season, top players in each division are promoted and bottom players are relegated. The system handles this automatically:
- Promotion — top finishers move up a division
- Relegation — bottom finishers move down a division
- Auto-relegation — players who accumulate 3 forfeits are automatically relegated
7End the Season
Use the Season End Wizard to archive results, process promotions and relegations, and create the next season. The wizard shows a full summary of player movements before you confirm.
When creating the next season, players are automatically placed based on their promotion/relegation results.
